Happy Humans 1st Birthday

“It's my party, and I'll cry if I want to.
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to.
You would cry too if it happened to you”.

Ok, that sounds really negative now, but I was reminded of the song when I started writing this blog post and my best friend also sang it to me when I told her about 1 year of Happy Humans. We had to laugh a lot!

Oh wow, this just 'just' passed 'for a while. It would be a party for customers & sympathizers. Unfortunately, the Corona crisis prevented that from happening.
On the other hand, I now have the time to review everything and I enjoy writing my light-hearted “1 year anniversary story.”

From roller coaster to roller coaster

After 2 eventful rollercoaster years, I decided to launch Happy Humans. With some minor stresses here and there, but above all, an incredible amount of enthusiasm. Eager to do what gives me energy, to write my own story, from scratch.

The first year went very quickly. More than 20 customers chose to work with Happy Humans, which also allowed me to build great partnerships with top freelancers (thx Lindsay, Sarah & Jessie). It gave oxygen to Happy Humans and me as an entrepreneur. The roller coaster turned into a roller coaster, into a course with the necessary highs and lows but always with jitters in the stomach!

Oh how I miss...

Over the past year, many challenges came my way. With the Corona story as the biggest one! After 3 weeks 'in my room', I'm really starting to miss a number of things that make me happy:

  • Oh how I miss the weekly coffees with (un) acquaintances. I was very happy to make time for that and built a larger network in no time.
  • Oh how I miss putting new concepts on the market. With a few top players behind the scenes, we worked out various things. They are currently in the fridge. The market isn't asking for that at all right now.
  • Oh how I miss the sounding board sessions with entrepreneurs that teach me so much. Thankful for the time that my friend Matthieu is now making for me (business coach No. 1): MERCI
  • Oh how I miss “my” customers that I work for every day. Everyone talks about slowing down, but I miss the speed anyway..

The glass ball is currently rather a shaker ball

What the future holds is quite uncertain at the very moment. We are working on a plan for the future, have a number of fun concepts ready and especially want to be there for our current customers and companies that benefit from our expertise.

I am convinced that I can also use this period to be inspired and surrounded by the right people who want to help put Happy Humans further on the map.

Santé, to Happy Humans!

Greetings,
Every
